umm, xfire mac...yeah....
so i went and checked out xfire again only to rediscover that it is windows only, and that the 3rd party mac clients don't have voice chat, or even in game text chat LAME!!! so yeah unless you guys want to use some other type of voice chat im fucked because i have a macbook
Re: umm, xfire mac...yeah....
well that sucks... have you tried Xblaze yet? i know it doesn't have in game text, dunno about voice. They are working on xfire in the future for other platforms, though. Perhaps I will correspond with you and see if now's the time for a mumble switch over. I personally like xfire. It's okay, but does have some bugs that I had to work out or around.
We're also on msn live messenger, failing that.

Re: umm, xfire mac...yeah....
yeah mumble would probably be a good move since its open source for all operating systems.
ehm...mumble makes me wanna scream
So, I apparently detest mumble. I got it installed, and I have murmur, I just probably won't be able to run the Sauer server and the murmer server at the same time. Any suggestions? It's seemingly complex. I'm all ears. For those of you who have used mumble, I need help with it, and I doubt anyone tried to run their own source for it. Computers... it's always a problem somewhere. lol

There is always TeamSpeak. Mac, windows and linux support it.

Teamspeak's not free though..
I've tried to set up one of those as well.
Looking back into it though.

Re: umm, xfire mac...yeah....
couldn't we just use one of the public mumble servers? not that many people use it, i personally dont know much about the program i haven't really played around with it
Re: umm, xfire mac...yeah....
I played around with the public mumble servers a bit, doesn't seem feasible though, considering that anyone could interrupt us. So I think that I will in future just rent a teamspeak server for us.
